About us

The shop for what can't be fixed or bought

Tony Aveggio opened A & D Welding in San Carlos, California, in the 1980s, and he still works in the shop today. His son Jim and his grandson Anthony work alongside him, which makes us a three-generation family business. We've been welding for the Bay Area the whole time, from San Francisco down to San Jose.

Most of our work is structural steel, repairs and custom fabrication. A lot of it starts the same way: someone was told the part can't be fixed, or they found out nobody sells it anymore. Those are the jobs we like. If it's metal, we can usually repair it, and if we can't, we'll build you a new one.

When you call, you talk to the people who will actually do the work.
